Alex von Alken is a stunning and shy 2 year old German Shepherd. Sweet Alex is still getting used to kennel  life and looks to her people to be her guide; she can be unsure in new situations, and tends to shadow you around once comfortable. When settled, she loves touching.  Nothing makes her happier than finding a quiet little spot for her to get close and enjoy head rubs.  She is mid-energy, and possibly housebroken.  Alex came from a breeder who didn’t even give her a name, she had no love just the company from other dogs.  She now shares a kennel with Duke, they are both happy to have the company.  When we got her, another rescue brought her to us when the breeder didn’t want her any more. She had to be carried out of the car, she couldn’t imagine anything good was happening to her. Alex has transformed and it is so good to see her sweet face looking happy, but life in a kennel is not ideal for any dog especially her.  We can’t wait to see Alex go to one of our great Westside homes with another dog, she will think she went to heaven! She has earned a great life! Be her hero!
